Project Overview
Ricci Di Mare is a stunning Italian restaurant located in Frederick, MD. Serving a menu of luxurious soups, pastas and seafood, Ricci Di Mare offers flavors that send you to the bustling streets of Rome or the artistic waterside of Venice. However, this restaurant is more than a treat for the tastebuds.
The interior’s rustic charm and airy design contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. Decorative ceilings, a glass bar top, and tile floors give the restaurant a modern and inviting touch. Large garage doors that open to the exterior extend the space and welcome fresh air.
Cochran & Mann worked alongside Wormald Commercial Construction and Alexander Design Studio to help create a truly unique dining experience. The team tackled demolishing and remodeling the existing interior shell space. They also made exterior modifications and additions to enhance the restaurant's curb appeal.
Challenges
The completion of the exterior roof recoating was hindered by various factors, including limited working space and scheduling challenges. The constraints imposed by the restricted working area and delivery delays of the owner's equipment affected progress. Additionally, weather-related delays further contributed to the extended timeline required for the completion.
The Result
Despite the timeline constraints, Ricci Di Mare was completed on time. A successful grand opening marked the newest addition to Worman’s Mill Village. The finishing touch included a roof repaint from green to black with Sherwin Williams Sher-Cryl HPA Black. Even a small change, such as a color change, makes a big difference in the outer appearance.
