Overview of Project:
Cochran & Mann was pleased to be a part of a unique project located in Gettysburg, PA. Amblebrook is a fun, lively new homes community for active adults 55 and older. They offer a variety of resort-style amenities, including the Amblebrook Clubhouse, also known as the Rock Creek Clubhouse.
The Amblebrook Clubhouse celebrated its grand opening in October 2021. This 24,000-square-foot building offers space for the Amblebrook community to gather, celebrate and learn. Specially designed for the lifestyle of today’s active adults, the clubhouse features a high-tech demonstration kitchen, game room, music room, arts and crafts studio, learning center, and lounge.
The Cochran & Mann team, led by Sr. Project Manager Tom Shoemaker and Project Manager Ben Davies, painted and applied wallcoverings. The clubhouse interior and exterior included beautiful murals, acoustic wallcoverings, and other specialty finishes making the rooms come to life.
Challenges
A strict construction schedule faced the team at Cochran & Mann. Because of supply chain and inventory issues involving the building’s paint and wallcoverings, meeting such a deadline became challenging. Nevertheless, Amblebrook needed Rock Creek Clubhouse’s completion in time for a weekend of celebratory festivities at The Grand Opening Event scheduled in October.
The Result
Cochran & Mann delivered a state-of-the-art and lively clubhouse in time for the Grand Opening Event. These unique rooms offer the flexibility, capability, and energy that the Amblebrook community can enjoy for years to come. The Cochran & Mann team was excited to provide spaces where people can learn and grow together.
