Michael S. Cochran holds the position of President. Mike’s vision to innovate, motivate and find solutions in any economic condition has propelled growth over 1000% since the company’s inception. Mike is responsible for all sales and marketing and serves as a chief estimator for the company. Since the foundation of Cochran & Mann, Inc. Mike has advocated and practiced a strong commitment to customer loyalty and satisfaction. Previously Mike held the position of Chief Estimator and Contract Manager at Byron & Associates for 10 years and worked in the field as a lead painter and foreman. His knowledge of the paint and wallcovering industry is exceptional. Educational background includes numerous ABC, MSA and AIC seminars and Montgomery College. He was a Washington Building Congress craftsmanship award winner in 1980.

William L. Cochran, Jr. holds the position of Vice President. Will's leadership in project management and resulting customer satisfaction has been a vital asset to the company's success. Will's work ethic and "leadership by example" management style reinforces the basics of our service environment. Will's responsibilities include those of spokesperson, operations manager, program management and budgeting. Previously, Will worked in the field as superintendent for 4 years with prior field experience of 7 years in the trade. He earned a bachelor of science in 1990 in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Salisbury State University.

Anthony Iacone holds the position of Safety Manager. Tony has been in the paint and wallcovering industry for 30+ years. He has worked in the field and currently instructs employees on our new equipment, policies and procedures. As Safety Manager, he is responsible for initiating, implementing, and enforcing our company safety policies through ongoing education and awareness programs for all employees. He works closely with internal committees to reinforce and promote a safe work environment. Tony's commitment to safety has allowed us to achieve a low OSHA incidencerate and low EMR rating from our insurance carriers.

Paul A. Smith holds the position of Senior Project Manager. Paul's 30+ year career in the coatings industry defines his knowledge of our complex trade. Paul is responsible for managing the paint and wallcovering functions of his contracts; product submittals, project scheduling, customer relations, staffing and resource allocations all the while maintaining the high level of quality expected of every project. Education and training from Montgomery College, Florida State University, and computer training have helped him lead us to achieve success on all endeavors.

 


William L. Cochran, Sr. (retired) is our Consultant. His 40+ year career in the painting and wallcovering industry has been exemplary. He serves as a board member and mentor to all management and staff. Although, only in part-time capacity now, he still manages special projects requiring his vast experience. Mr. Cochran's natural leadership and devotion to our industry makes his continued service in any capacity a welcomed advantage.

William E. Thompson holds the position of Project Manager. Bill's 35+ years in the construction industry is unsurpassed since he began in the trade and worked 25 years as a paperhanger. His vast knowledge and keen sense of what it takes to provide a quality job makes him a proven project manager. Bill controls all aspects of a project including product selections, staffing, customer relations and budgeting. He is our expert wallcovering analyst and has managed projects ranging from simple to unique as well as large and multifaceted during his tenure with Cochran & Mann.

Lisa K. Palmer holds the position of Senior Estimator. Lisa's responsibilities include all aspects of preparing estimates on conceptual, budget, negotiated and competitive bid projects. Formerly, Lisa spent 10 years with Glen Construction Company, where she began as an Assistant Project Manager. She later became a Project Estimator and Estimating Manager responsible for coordinating the pre-construction phases of all work, preparing estimates of job costs for contracts, preliminary schedule of project time, obtaining written confirmation of apparent low bidders, preparing subcontracts and coordinating the drafting of subcontract conditions for those portions pertaining to such matters as technical aspects and construction details, reviewing the job contracts with Project Manager and Project Superintendent prior to the start-up and making cost and method studies to determine the relative economy of alternative methods of construction. receiving and distributing all revisions to plans and specifications, reviewing job costs and weekly labor reports, supervising estimating staff and project assignments.
